Winterization

During the winter when temperatures reach below freezing for extended periods of time, water pipes within your cabin can freeze and burst. With routine safety, we turn the main water off to the house, open and drain all outdoor spigots and indoor faucets, and add antifreeze where it's needed. This ensures protection against water damage.

With the right directions, we'll do it just like it's always been done, the right way.

Winterization Procedure:

- Shut off main water to cabin (often near street or under structure)

- Open lowest valve outside to drain water held in cabin pipes

- Open all inside sink and shower valves, flush toilets (scoop excess water)

- Put antifreeze in sinks, showers, and toilets (bowl and tank)
